I know that rhymes...I didn't plan it though, lol. The evening started off with a definite surprise ending for Connor Wood's fight. Connor is a stud - in both personality and skill - and had an amazing training camp. Unfortunately, he just couldn't get off in the first round - losing to Darcy James. I feel terrible for Connor's next opponent, that's for sure.

Immediately it felt like a strange night; however, Diego Wilson came out like an animal and submitted the very talented Dan Lim by armbar within the first minute. Diego is definitely a FORCE at 135 and I can't wait to see where he goes from here.

To finish off the night for the ZUMA team, Nick Driedger took on Baz Cunningham. Baz is known for being tough and swinging hard, but Nick put an end to his night within the first 2 minutes. Nick showed some awesome striking and had a HUGE slam...then finished the fight with a grotesque choke ;)

Adam Zugec - you need a special thank you from myself, all the guys, and all the fans - without you these guys wouldn't be nearly as close to reaching their potentials. Congratulations to a great showing for the team, and ZUMA definitely had the biggest crowd out supporting its fighters...GO TEAM ZUMA!!!
